As future leaders, we continually strive to build stronger ties with our communities and the individuals within them. It is through this understanding that we grow and develop broader worldviews that will shape and support our lives. We celebrate our history through traditions that honor the past while serving the future. Cultural values and traditions shape the NCL Inc., role and contribution in our communities.
Each Ticktocker class selects and plans a cultural event to attend with their mothers. The purpose is to develop community awareness and enjoy cultural diversity with their class. Events may include music, art, drama, or dance performances as well as museum tours or restaurant experiences.
Our cultural events have varied throughout the years and some of our experiences have included:
- Theatrical Productions
- Museum visits
- Cirque de Soleil
Our Mother-Daughter Tea is one of our chapter’s most cherished traditions, designed to teach members etiquette, graciousness, self-confidence in social settings, good manners and respect of others. Our tea is held in February each year, hosted by Ticktockers during their sophomore year of high school.
